AND HIGHLY AWARDED
We produce authentic extra virgin olive oil, exclusively from the Sitian olive grove, quite possibly the oldest in Greece. Almost all the farmers in the region, nearly 8,000, are hard at work to make that happen. Olive farmers for generations and some younger ones that have turned their full attention to farm the blessed earth.
Altogether they farm the highly exceptional Koroneiki variety, which produces an olive oil unique to any other anywhere else in Greece.
We have been producing quality olive oil for countless generations! From the ancient Minoans until the present day the “tap” has not ever been switched off. Or to put it another way, we have been producing this precious olive oil long before the modern world learnt of its beneficial properties, before the “Mediterranean diet” was even invented!
You have known us for, not quite so far back as the Minoans, but for many long years, mainly through Sitia 0.3, the internationally renowned olive oil that is returning to your table. As a co-operative collaboration between established and experienced companies, we at Sitia Olive Oil- LaSitia have been in place since August 2020 to ensure that this exquisite and authentic olive oil gets the global recognition its quality deserves.
THE JOY OF LIFE.
We produce an exquisite extra virgin olive oil and send it all over the world, with guaranteed quality control and a fair price, for both the producer and consumer. Nature has giving us something exceptional to work with, but this does not come without hard and dedicated work. Actually, most members of the Sitian Union have spent a lifetime “amongst the olive trees” so that we can be truly proud of our olive oil.
We are simply sharing with you our life and joy and perhaps Sitian extra virgin olive oil might join you daily at your table and enrichen all your culinary creations. It’s important to have good olive oil, but it is better to share it with everyone!
Olive oil is life, but it is also a profitable business. Now we are able to send again a truly good olive oil to the ends of the world, to Japan, Australia and America.”
